2.3 App Usage & Location Data

Real-time location data (GPS), used to assign delivery tasks and display delivery routes

Messages and support tickets you send to us

We do not collect or store your banking or payment information.

3. Purpose of Data Collection

We collect and process this data to:

Verify your identity and eligibility to work as a delivery partner in Finland
Facilitate delivery operations, including real-time assignment and route tracking
Ensure compliance with Finnish immigration, labor, and safety laws
Communicate important information (e.g., delivery notifications, policy updates)
Provide customer and driver support

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data under the following legal bases:

5. Data Retention

Driver account data: Up to 6 years after termination to comply with tax/employment regulations
Support data: 6 years, for legal claim defense and quality assurance

6. Data Sharing

Authorized FEXD staff (e.g., HR, compliance)
Legal authorities, if required by Finnish law
Technology providers, such as hosting and analytics services (only minimal data as necessary)

We do not sell or share your personal data with other drivers, sellers, or end users. However, certain data will be shared as necessary to complete a delivery:

When you pick up an order from a seller’s store, the customer will be able to see your phone number and track your live location until the delivery is completed.
For direct parcel deliveries (no seller involved), the customer will not be able to see your contact details or track your location.

7. Location Tracking

The Driver App collects your GPS location in real time for delivery assignment and route tracking. Location access is active while the app is in the foreground or background only when the driver is marked as online and the driver account is activated. Location tracking is subject to the device’s permission settings.

8. Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures including:

Encrypted data transmission
Secure storage of documents and images
Restricted access to sensitive data by authorized staff only

However, no system is 100% secure. We recommend keeping your login credentials confidential.

As a data subject, you have the right to:

Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data (unless legal retention is required)
